Hello.

So, I'm looking forward to buy new parts for my PC. Currently I have:

Motherboard: MSI B150M Gaming Pro

RAM: 16GB 2400mhz crucial

GPU: RTX 2070  8GB Gaming OC

CPU: I7 6700K

some hard drives as well.

So I'm looking forward to upgrade my CPU, RAM and my motherboard.

I wan't to get

ASUS Prime B550-Plus Gaming

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

Are those parts okay or should I look for something else?

Mostly for gaming yeah, but it's much more expensive than the 3700x, maybe the 3800x then?

Since you are mostly gaming you should really consider the 5600x, its better for gaming than any of the Ryzen 3000 stuff. That is because the 5600x has much better single core performance which games rely on. And because the 5600x is better per core its 6 core 12 threads tie the 3800x in 8 core workloads even though the 3800x is 8 core 16 thread.

Just to add, the 5000 series really is the way to go over the 3000, mostly because of the design of how the cores can access the cache which is the main reason why they are so much better, but seriously if you really are restricted with budget, you wont be disappointed with the 3000 and depending on price maybe consider intel aswell
