Country: Israel

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: some light games like csgo but also high AAA games like COD and maybe cyberpunk after they'll fix it

so the build I'm going for is a ryzen 5 3600 (maybe 3600x, if you think it's worth it I'd like to know), Asus prime x570-P (mainly for future upgrades), 16 gb ram.

I just dont know which GPU to get. the prices here in Israel are insanely high so the question is - get a RTX 2080 super for around 1000 USD, or a RTX 3060TI for the same price?
the other option in to add ~300 USD and get a 3070.

is the 300$ difference for the 3070 worth it? is the 2080 super even a good choice these days?
thanks

Wait until they come down in price, it'll be months for that to happen anyway

Just stick with a Ryzen 5 3600 as the 3600X has little performance gains over the 3600 for a heftier price tag.

For your GPU's it's best to wait until stocks can keep up with demand and come closer to MSRP pricing, but this will take months. The wait will be worth it in the end.

that's the pricing here in Israel. .stores have like 80% import tax on electronics. Im okay with paying both the 1000$ and 1300$ it's just a question of 2080 super VS 3060TI or is it worth it to get the 3070 for the extra 300$

The 3600X is not worth it - it's a 3600 with a slightly higher base and boost clock and a 95W TDP instead of a 65W TDP.

thanks for the tip

Well, the 3070 will be a better upgrade than the 3060 Ti, which trades blows with a 2080 Ti (Super is around that area as well or below). That would be my recommendation, but for myself, pricing would tell me to wait, unless those prices won't change a couple months from now when more stock comes and can keep up with demand.

No problem, can't do anything about a tax, just the bottom line of what they are asking for the graphics cards in a few months, hopefully.
