Guys,

I purchased this LED strip kit, which comes with  it's own PCI Controller.

I wonder can I use strips without controller, hooked up onto RGB header on my motherboard?

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

The connecter doesn't look like a standard RGB header, I guess given that it is 12 V it isn't an addressable RGB strip either. So I would say out-of-the-box, probably not, but if you change the connecter end, and that the pinout is standard (12V, G, R, B....i think?) then there is a chance to mod it.

Can I try it to work on motherboard rgb header,or better not to risk it?

You can (you have the ability to), but you could fry the header, the strip, or both; so no, its better not to risk it.

I don't see nothing unusual on strip connector,it it's 4-pin header...

I don't understand how can this led strip be different from regular ones, they all demand +12V.

There are a lot of things that you may not see or don't understand, but in my opinion it does not change whether it is risky or not. Just because you don't see the difference between a cup of H2O and H2O2 doesn't mean you should take a big gulp from both cups.

Its also like how you shouldn't take a power supply connecter from one PSU and use it in another PSU, even if its from the same company, 12V lines may be going in different pins, and then if you get the pinout wrong, you will fry components.

Oooh okay,I won't risk it then...I'll use that controller which came with the set.
