So recently my pc has started to develop one of a handful of faults. The most recent development is that it has now started to boot up by itself. So i am sleeping and i will look at my pc and see its turned on. Its not power on by wan ive checked that but i have no idea what to do.

Along with this it now makes a ticking noise every now and then, which i am guessing is hard drive. Ive have countless flaws with drivers as well so it could be that?

open Powershell with admin, type "powercfg -lastwake"

it will display what makes your pc woken.

at midnite usually the pc is checking for updates, you can turn it off if you don't want it.

from the picture above my pc is awaken by a power button.

Remember it records the last wake action, so if you're pc awaken then sleep again, the next time you turn it on it will record your turn on command not the previous one.
