Browser, version and OS: Chrome 88, Android 10

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened? I Made a post in a thread that was subsequently locked

 

 

What happened? The post was not editable

 

 

What did you expect to happen? To be able to edit the post

Any other relevant details: this could be intentional, however I think I remember being able to edit before. 

 

 

If it's a cloudflare error, what was the ray ID from the bottom of the error page? N/a

You can't edit posts in locked threads.

Is there a reason why you should be able to edit posts in locked threads?

The reasons for not allowing it are pretty strong, so to be clear I don't think this is going to change any time soon. Just curious what the reasons for wanting to edit posts in a locked thread are.

Specifically for that post I screen shot, I was going to clarify what I meant since I couldn't reply to a person who quoted me. Personally, I'd use it just for clarifying or small mistakes (grammatical in nature). But again, I do understand why it's like this
