Is a RTX 2060 laptop worth it?

EJOE

Is an RTX 2060 laptop worth it? Or should I go with a gaming laptop with a better cpu and build quality with a 1660ti?

Well for gaming CPU is less important than GPU.

So 2060 is a much better choice.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

Personally for me, an RTX 2060 is decent for 2021 Standard Gaming Laptop & Editing/Rendering below 4K res. It's (slightly) better than GTX 1660 Ti for Gaming.

So take the RTX 2060, it's more future prof than GTX 1660 TI (cheaper). Depends on your Budget.

How much more would you spend on for a 2060 instead of a 1660ti?

True thanks. Was looking at this one HIDevolution MSI GF65 Thin 9SEXR 15.6" FHD 144Hz, 2.6 GHz i7-9750H, RTX 2060, 8 GB 2666MHz RAM, 512 GB PCIe SSD, Authorized Performance Upgrades & Warranty - Newegg.com

well it supports newer features and dlss so it might have good support for longer, so if it means you keep it an extra year or 2 that more than offsets the cost. Plus it preforms a little better and you can check out rtx.

The 2060 in my acer nitro performs very well still. Cyberpunk high settings DLSS set to balanced it averages 50-60 FPS.

That’s sweet

Awesome thanks! So you don’t think a 2060 card would be worth it?
