The two Norwegian sisters report to the Norwegian news feed vg that they can both open the sister's phone. they were sitting in the car where the sister was going to change song where she suddenly got on the phone, they test this on the video I attach where we see that she gets into both the phone and the online bank.

The key for my 1981 Toyota pickup will unlock doors and start a lot of pre 90s Toyotas, cars, trucks, 4runners. As well as a lot of '95 and newer Hondas.

You'd want faceID to be a little relaxed. Set it up and grow a beard. Get locked out of your phone permanently?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I'll be blunt: this is a fluff story trying to create a crisis where there is none.

Yes, a very similar-looking family member could unlock your phone using Face ID. But the chances of having an evil sibling that wants to misuse your phone is... very small. If anything, this shows that Face ID works as intended.

This reminds me of when people tried to create a scare around fake fingerprints unlocking your phone around when the iPhone 5s and Galaxy S5 were new — it's not providing the context that makes this far less of an issue than it sounds. If your sibling is trying to spy on your phone, or a thief has the skill to make a fake fingerprint, you have much larger problems on your hands than someone sifting through your messages.
