major fps drops in warzone

my pc:

i5 10th gen

gtx 1650 super 4gb 

8gb 2666mhz (more and better ram will be here today)

 

when i first got my pc warzone is the first thing i played on it, and it ran at a solid 60-70 fps, but today i got on and im getting major stutters, like it freezes for a solid 10 seconds and 4 fps average. did they change something or am i doing something wrong?

Its your RAM.. trust me once you get your RAM delivered you'll see the frame drops fix. Many videos have confirmed this happening especially in Warzone because Warzone consumes about 13gb RAM running on high-medium settings which is a whole fking lot.

 

What RAM are you going to get delivered?

but.. once I installed it my pc won't boot... 

its turing off and on again 

now I'm worried.

I've tested both the sticks individually, still won't boot

put the old stick in, won't boot.

red light on the dram thing

i figureed out thee problem, it wasnt in all the way. its 2x6 3200mhz ram

You mean 2 x 8GB.

 

Is it actually running at DDR4-3200?

Did you enable XMP in the BIOS....and does your CPU + Motherboard support overclocking?

 

You need a overclocking supported CPU + Motherboard to enable XMP.

Otherwise, your DDR4-3200 RAM will be running at a lower speed (e.g. DDR4-2133).

yes 2x8, and i dont think my mobo supports oc, and i have a 10400f so that cant oc, atleast i dont think. and what does xmp do? my mobo is a b460m from asrock

XMP = eXtreme Memory Profile, memory overclock profile saved onto the memory sticks done by the manufacturer.

DDR4 memory in stock form runs at only DDR4-2133.

The kit you got is rated at DDR4-3200 after XMP is enabled.

 

The i5-10400F and B460M does not support overclocking, however, the i5-10400F supports up to DDR4-2666.

DDR4-2666 is not considered "overclocking".

You still need to go into the BIOS and change the DRAM Frequency setting to DDR4-2666.

Otherwise like I said, it will just run at DDR4-2133.

so what i get from this is it wasn't a good idea to upgrade to 3200 mhz? if the cpu can only handle 2666 then I should have just gotten another stick of 8 gb 2666?

You have to reseat your CMOS battery. Heres a simple video on how to do that
