Ryzen 3800x 80+°C on bequiet PureLoop 360 with liquidmetal and Der8auer OC Bracket

Hey Everyone,

 

I Recently upgraded my 1700 to a 3800x on a msi x370 gaming pro carbon, the system is running fine besides the Cpu temp being way to hot for my setup.

I tried a cooler master seidon 240v with some crappy thermal paste i found, got around 80-83°c i thought the aio was shit so i bought a new one.

 

I Bought a BeQuiet! PureLoop 360 (because i thought the previos aio was shit)

RYZEN 3000/5000 OC Bracket Custom Mount (Because Der8auer said the hotspot isn't centered and this would help)

Coollaboratory Liquid Pro (because its theoretically the best thermal compound)

 

so i installed everything as far as i know correctly, i used an endoscope camera to look if my heatspreader is touching the aio correctly and it does.

 

I applied the liquid metal as the instructions said.

 

the pump runs right directly with 12v, the fans runs at 50% 100% made 2° difference 

 

the Case is open so no airflow problem.

 

But my cpu still runs at 80+° under full load.

 

any ideas why ?

what case? and where mounted? Front mount gives the best temps for cpu but for for gpu.

 

Also have you tried applying negative voltage offset? liek -0.05V or -0.075V on the bios

Iam Running a PURE BASE 600, Radiator in the front, but currently the front cover and window is off, so no restriction at all for airflow.

 

i didnt try offsets yet

Maybe try mounting it with the default bracket?

 

Then again: 80° under load is ok,no?

try offsets. also if you have the patience try without the derbauer mount

without the derbauer mount the temps were the same

What are you running to get those temps? I have a H150i, and P95 Small FTTs would put me damn near 80c.

I tried the offset with -0.075v ~1.300v 

Now im running at 74° but 75mhz or so lower at 4150-4175mhz

it does not make that much of a difference with performance.

jeah true, but i wantet to overclock my cpu if the temps get better. but there must be a way to properly cool this chip without complete custom watercooler overkill

i mean powerMax is pretty heavy. Try cinebench. it is pretty short but you should see some example of temps
