290 decent @ 1440p?

Go to solution Solved by ThePcMasterRace,

Everyone seems to love the Tri-X :P but is it also decently quiet? I'm going for a quiet build as it'll be in the family room right next to the TV

Pretty sure it's quieter then the other options there, it's probably the best 290 cooler

It's a very good card and was made for above 1080P resolutions. I would get the Tri-X.

I'd probably go with the Tri X or Windforce card.

Between the top three choices. Asus, MSI & Gigabyte. Which ever is cheaper

"I've been mad for fucking years, absolutely years, I've been over the edge for yonks..."

"I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us are...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad..."

"There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."

Yeah, I would say that it's one of the best (if not the best) 290 cooler.

It won't matter too much. All of the coolers are good enough to the point of the differences being mostly negligible.

One comes with a factory OC, one doesn't. That's pretty much it.

The OC version has a better chance of being a better binned chip, but by what margins are unknown.

It's probably not worth 20$.

They're both Tri-X.

So do you think that 20 dollar premium is worth it? Or just go for a regular one?

You could paint it... without too much trouble, after taking it apart, which isn't too much trouble.

Experienced users may need only apply however... I don't see un-experienced users bothering.
