RANDOM CONTEST BUILD?

Hello!

My friend just announced a competition, where if i can build a computer for 200 - 400 dollars CANADIAN that can handle good work and lots of video calls and lots of random tabs and stuff open. and abosuley no games other than a random web game his kids might play on it. 

Requirements:

Can do work

Has SSD

New parts.

looks somewhat good

Can support 3 monitors.

 

I'm allowed to use aliexpress... LOL.

IS this task even possible? If so, what should i do?

Get an old Dell OptiPlex, add a SSD boot drive, and add more RAM. Profit.

The best actual "build" I could come up with would be something like-

"X79" combo set from Aliexpress ~ $120 CAD "refurbished" for 1356 xeon/board/memory

Hyper 212 ~ $30 CAD new, might be less used

Some garbage case ~ $60 CAD new, might be less used

Not terrible PSU - $70 CAD new, not sure I'd trust Aliexpress on this; I was looking at an EVGA 500 BR

Decent SATA SSD - $50 CAD (860 evo looks best at this range)

Something like an HD 7770 ~ $70 CAD on Aliexpress (you could go cheaper here; the HD 7770 is a good sweet spot where it can handle light games well enough without costing much)

 

Otherwise, the Optiplex+SSD route would be a good way to go.
