so basically OnePlus doesn't want the phone to be completely covered especially when they consider their device to be beautiful. So instead they are creating covers that are textured to their likeness, (so far) such as Denim, Kevelar, Bamboo, Sandstone, and Silk, with only the Sandstone and Silk not actually being made with their respective material. These covers are designed to protect the device while still keeping the same look and feel of the total device. Pretty awesome move from the guys at OnePlus

To ensure the best look, feel, and level of protection, these covers will actually be made with their own respective materials (not silk or sandstone though). Are you someone that drops your phone often? Why not get a tough, rugged Kevlar back cover for protection and durability? Do you want the feel of something soft and natural? How about an eye-catching, elegant bamboo back cover? Want a nice texture that feels like it will never slip out of your fingers? The known grit and feel that denim offers may be what you’re looking for.

so what do guys think about it? I personally think it's pretty damn cool that it's actually made and designed to have a texture to help you grip it. If I get a OnePlue One which I'm really thinking about getting, I'd personally pick up the kevelar ;).

The OnePlus One surely sounds like an awesome phone. I might check it out once it actually comes out.
