Weird "no POST" problem

Hello guys! 😊

 

First of all, I'm not sure if Troubleshooting is the correct thread or whatever it's called to submit in, I'm sorry if any moderators have to move my topic. 

 

My PC suddenly wasn't able to POST, but I fixed it. I want to hear what others may think is / was the problem. 

So I downloaded ASUS Suite 2, installed it, restarted, started Suite 2, messed up my fan profile, uninstalled Suite 2, restarted - to go into BIOS and redo my fan profile. 

When I got into the BIOS, the aspec ratio the BIOS menu is displayed in was changed. But the BIOS menu itself was working perfectly. 

I then redid my fan profile and then restarted, and then my PC didn't POST. 

 

I then tried taking out my GPU(startup without GPU and reseat), RAM(tested single stick / reseat), CMOS battery(reseat, to reset CMOS), nothing worked; PC still didn't POST. 

Then I tried turning on my PC WITHOUT the CMOS battery installed and then my PC did POST. 

Then I turned of my PC, put all hardware back in, also the CMOS battery, and my PC still POST and still works perfectly. 

 

Since then I have restarted multiple times, redone my fan profile in BIOS and so on, everything works perfectly. 

But what happened? Does anything know what might have caused this to happen? 😊

yeah it's probabaly the asus suite application that messed up with the bios...

i dont think software can brick your bios that easily to the point it wouldnt work tbh...
