CPU Temps question

Go to solution Solved by Senzelian,

What really matters is the max temperature, because all you really want is for the CPU not to overheat.

I recommend you stresstest the CPU with a few Cinebench R23 runs and see where you end up. Depending on the max temperature reached, you either increase or lower the fanspeed. Ideally it should be below 80°C in my opinion, but even at 85°C you're not running into any risk. The max temperature for the 3600 is at 95°C.

I have hwinfo installed and I was monitoring temps for my cpu. should I look at the average temps, or the current temps to determine my fan curve? Sometimes my current temps when watching twitch is around 50-52c, but the average is still high 30s low 40s. Should I be worried at all? I am running a ryzen 3600 with the stock cooler btw.
