Do you have a source for this...?

Likely thinking about the AX, that is Seasonic Based.

You need to stop listening to these people.  You don't need them in your life.  They'll only bring you down.

No way in hell is AX1600i ever going to be made by Seasonic.  They would have to spend millions of dollars to upgrade their factory and the complexity would make their engineers' heads implode.

Are you sure? I asked a supplier yesterday, he said that this batch of AX1600i is made by Seasonic, and they will deliver this batch of AX1600i around January 20. I originally wanted to buy an AX1600i, but it has been sold out for a long time. Can I buy this new batch of Ax1600i?Or should I choose another gold PSU in Tier A?

Of course I'm sure.  I work for Corsair.  If someone has a batch of AX1600i PSUs that's made by "Seasonic" they're counterfeit.

More likely, the supplier has no idea what they're talking about.

The question is kinda like asking "is this batch of Ryzen 5 3600s made by Intel?"

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.

Not really, as Seasonic does make some power supplies for Corsair. They make the AX850 and AX1000 80+ titanium units. It's possible that either the retailer was mistaking the AXi for the AX or they were referring to the AX and the OP misunderstood.

It's not that hard to believe that someone working in a retail store might be told "the AX is made by Seasonic" and then mistakenly think that also applies to the AXi and then end up repeating it to customers.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

That's a bit weird...
Imagine AMD asking Intel "can you make us some CPUs?"

That's not strange at all really if you know history.

That's how AMD got started, making CPUs for Intel.

Meant present day.
I know that AMD was going to be "Intel's second source for CPUs" but instead they created their biggest rival.

Kinda funny when you think about it.

I'd like to know who this supplier is that made that statement.

Why would it be weird? Many PSU brands don't manufacture their own PSUs. PSUs sold by Corsair, Cooler Master, EVGA, and so on are often made by others such as HEC, CWT, Great Wall, Seasonic, FSP, Delta, Flextronics, Superflower, Gospower...

The AX 850/1000W are the only units in Corsair's current lineup made by Seasonic. Other Corsair models are made by HEC, Great Wall, CWT, Flextronics.

To use your AMD analogy, it is like AMD using TSMC to produce their wafers for CPUs and GPUs. Or even Intel using TSMC.

Kinda funny when you think about it.

In the desktop ATX space, Seasonic actually cranks out more power supplies with other company's brands on it then they ship their own.

Manufacturing is one thing.  Packaging, logistics, sales support, technical support, warranty, etc. is another.  That's why it's called "value add".  If Seassonic makes 10% less margin selling a PSU to someone else to sell under their brand, they're not losing 10%.  They're actually making MORE money because it costs more than that to support a product outside of  the factory walls.
