Is there some sort of expected impact of US tariffs outside the US on GPUs?

bejamartins

Many outlets been talking about GPU and other components price increase due to US tariffs exemptions ending.

I would assume this would impact only the US market, but the lack of discrimination in many places, including non US-sources seem to imply general price raise.

Is it expected that some companies raise prices elsewhere to level with the US or something like that? I'm getting confused here.

I'd say most likely no as long as the products are not going from China to the US and then to your country. For example, my country has free trade with China so I wouldn't expect American tarrifs to have any effect on me.

Maybe once President-Elect Biden takes office he'll get rid of them (if he can).
