First build/ Buy (Not sure)

Aposein

Budget (including currency): $2000-$3000 Canadian

Country: canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming

Other details I am very new to PC gaming and builds. I've only ever owned consoles so I'm looking to upgrade. I've seen some pretty good pre built set-ups out there but I've always thought it's better to build your own. Looking for somthing I wont have to upgrade for a few years.

Thanks

I suggest you wait since prices are wayyyy too high right now.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

I went a little overboard on this, GPUs are practically impossible to find right now, and whatever you can find is WAY overpriced, so I went lower tier than I would have liked for a price over what I would have liked(3080 was my aim, nvidia said today until april, they don't expect things to get back in order, so if you can find one even better). Everything here is top of the line except for that. I didn't know if you'd want AMD or Intel, but everything seems to be sold out on AMDs side, so I went intel. For your use case, this might be a little overboard, a lower tier CPU with higher tier GPU would probably be better for only gaming. This PC would be great for pretty much everything. pretty much everything here could be downgraded, even more so the power supply, I went a tiny bit overboard on that, if you decide to downgrade it, keep in mind this tier list, 850W is what's generally recommended for the 3080 and 750W for the 3070. And finally, I don't know much about fans, but having some more would almost certainly improve your system a lot, so I put the cheapest on PCPartPicker, someone else could probably help more on that front.
