1440p monitor, 23,8" or 27"?

Max1996LTT

Back in March of last year, I purchased a 23,8" 1440p IPS (Philips 245E1S) monitor, to upgrade from a 1080p TN one of the same physical size.

At the time, this was the largest size that my desk could easily accommodate. However, I since got a larger desk. That, combined with the recommended 125% scaling on this current monitor and the lack of height adjustment, is why I'm starting to wonder whether to stick with this current one or switch to a 27" 1440p monitor (with height adjustment) instead.

What do you people suggest?

You People?! 😜

I use a 32" 1440, so of those two I'd choose the 27" one. The only trouble with getting bigger screens, is that you cannot go back again. I went from 24"/1080 to 32"/1440, and now I can't tolerate smaller monitors... send help?

You can buy a different stand for your monitor with height adjustment.

Meh, come again when you're used to a 49" 4K and then have to do some work on a 13" laptop :D

But yeah, 27" 1440p is the minimum I can live with for a desktop.

I like 1440p 24" 100% scaling but though are not popular in good specs so 27" it is I guess.
