AMD Eyefinity help needed please.

Hi guys, I used to run a 3 screen setup using a GTX 580 for the first two screens and an old 8600 GTS for the third.

 

I then bought an R9 270x wanting the one card to run all 3 screens.

 

I found out that the displayport needed to be used so bought a DP to HDMI converter from Ebay but I can still only run 2 screens.

 

I have read that the adapter needs to be active but I read this after I got the cheap adapter.

 

I am new to AMD so can any of you veterans shed some light on the subject before I am forced into spending €20 on another adapter.

Get an active display port adapter and use a combination of hdmi + dvi or dvi+ dvi.

Think about it this way, you now have a spare cable that may come in handy later on

Can anyone recommend an adapter that I don't have to buy from the far east.
