PC Sluggish/Freezing after Hardware upgrade.

tehfalcon

Hey everyone, I'm pretty stumped. I just upgraded from an i7-7700k & GTX 1080 to a Ryzen 7 3800X & RTX 2080.

I reinstalled Windows after to start fresh and the PC just feels sluggish and randomly freezes. Any ideas? All drivers are installed/up to date, CPU and GPU aren't overheating.

I know on Ryzen that ram speed needs to be pretty good for full performance so I have 32GB DDR4-3600 Ram running @ 3000 (couldn't post running at full 3600).

I should note that I am also on an SSD as well that I used TRIM on after reinstalling Windows.

Download Aida64 go to motherboard -> SPD. Write down timings and go to bios and set memory frequency, timings and dram voltage manually. TRIM is enabled in windows by default, when using SSD on AHCI, you don't need to force run it.
