Linus's reviews on headsets lately have made me really consider buying better ones than what I currently use. I'm currently using a pair of Corsair Raptor LH1 Evos that my computer came with. Overall, they're fine, but they're not very comfortable after a couple of hours of gaming.

Basically, I want a headset that's in the $75-100 price range that's going to be comfortable after a few hours with good sound quality and a decent microphone. So... nothing spectacular, but I don't want to have to replace it in a year because I didn't invest enough to get something good. I've thought about getting the Razer Kraken 7.1, but figured I'd get some recommendations since I don't want to be paying more just for a brand name, especially since it's at the top of my price range.

ATH-M50's or sennhesier Hd558's are both really good inexpensive headphones. You can then pick up a Mod Mic of some kind for ~10 bucks and clip it on.

If you find any Sennheiser PC350 or above get that. I've had mine for 5+ years now and they still work flawlessly. I've had/tested a bunch of Razer headset and i highly recommend to stay as far away as possible for you and your friends who have to listen to that microphone. Save up the extra and get a proper headset that'll last you longer than 6 months.

(I don't hate Razer, but their headset just plain sucks for their high price.)

Next time you ask about Audio products, please put it in the Audio subforum ;)

If your head is on the bigger side, have a look at the ATH A(D)500x. I don't know where your are from, so I can't really say anything about the price, since it's all over the place.
