Hi,

So I am having a real problem with the latest Call of Duty game on my PC. Whenever I have anything video related on my second monitor, YouTube, Twitch, Streamlabs OBS etc. When I tab back into the game with one of these windows open I can only maintain 20fps max! The moment I minimize the window, the frame rate goes back up and is stable. I dropped the settings down to lowest on everything and still have the issue. This is only happening with Call of Duty, every other game is running smooth as silk. My PC Specs are:

i7 9700k 4.6ghz

32gb DDR4 3200mhz

MSI Aero RTX 2070 8gb (not overclocked)

500gb WD Black SN750 M.2 (boot drive)

2tb WD SN750 M.2 (game drive)

650W Corsair PSU (bronze rated)

Temps are fine on both GPU (67C) and CPU (60C)

No crazy voltage flucuations showing in HWMonitor

GPU usage is around 87%

CPU around 60%

I have tried this with both Chrome and Firefox and got the same results. I have rebooted multiple times. Checked file intergrity and I have done a scan and repair on battlenet a couple of times with no errors found.

GPU drivers are also up to date.

Anybody got any suggestions as I am stumped? ☹

Cheers,

Dappatron

Because your gpu has to playback the video while also trying to render 3d assets, it probably struggles to do both but that's not a normal behavior for a rtx 2070 yeah... hmm let me think...

Make sure to quote me if you want me to respond
Thanks :)

both the cpu and gpu encoder do all the work when it comes to video playback on things like youtube and twitch, so it shouldnt really be happening

Yeah I would understand it if it was maxing out the usage on either or both of the CPU and GPU. But dropping everything to low (the game looked like it was running on a ps2 which was hilarious) would have seen even a slight improvement but it was still going now higher than 20FPS
