advice on CPU's

Go to solution Solved by SavageNeo,

Budget (including currency): £500 - 600

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: media consumption ( youtube etc ) NOT GAMING, web browsing, emails, maybe some messing around with photos etc

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Im hoping to be building my 1st PC in the next few weeks & i was originally looking at AMD, but im NOT paying the stupid prices for the CPU's. So lately, ive been looking at the i3 10100 & the i5 10400. I dont need a GPU as of yet as it wont be a gaming PC, so integrated graphics will be just fine. any advice on either of these 2

thank you
