tbh both cpus are actually decent, if you plan on primarily streaming and/or gaming, intel can be a good option, if for productivity, I recommend get a ryzen 5 3600 at at least fine price especially in europe (in amazon.de, I wouldn't think the 3-10 euro markup imo of the price of this cpu).
also if you plan on upgrading above intel core i5 in the future, I recommend you get a motherboard with at least one vrm heatsink, and I think in general I would if you want cool vrms but both cpus arent that hot so you are safe but just a tip and recommendation...

well he wants to get 3500x not 3600 which is worse than 10400f in productivity due to lack of smt

and from a single core performance point of view they are very close if you don't overclock 3500x which gives it edge

so i recommend 10400f system but if yo can get better mobo but the current choice is also ok

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

I plan on only gaming (no productivity, I don't know stuff xD) But I'll keep that in mind, I'll try changing stuff

What about the Asus Prime B460M - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/PRIME-B460M-K/?

I have edited your thread title to be less likely to cause issues. Our rules specifically say "No X vs Y" threads.

My bad, I just used this site now so have no idea yet about rules, but thanks for that!
