Do I need a Windows Product Key?

Go to solution Solved by RyansLeftArm,

Honestly, it isnt that bad. The only problem for me when i didn't have a key, was that i couldn't change my wallpaper (wallpaper engine worked though). Also i have a xbox wireless adapter and it didnt work, as you need a key for the drivers for it to install. But if all you are doing is gaming, it will be there, but i barely noticed it. I just got a key so i could use the adapter.

So I’m about to buy my PC and a question pops up in my head, do I need a windows 10 key? I know a watermark pops up in the bottom right of the screen but how prominent is it? Does it appear when you load games on full screen, does it appear when I surf the internet with Google Chrome? Etc.

Windows License give you access to features beyond the basic Windows function.

You can download and install Windows from Microsoft free without activating it legally. This allows you to use the OS without issue until you acquire a license for the features you wish to have access to. The watermark is only present on the Windows Desktop and will remain until you enter the key for your license when you purchase it.
