It'll be cheaper to just buy an off-brand one. Also, yes, you can; just make sure it outputs the same voltage as the original and you'd probably also want it to be the same wattage or higher.

It entirely depends on whether there are any businesses in your area that do that sort of a thing. Repairing a broken power-supply isn't that difficult in and of itself, but any such businesses have mostly vanished in the modern days.
