Should I buy 2080ti for 700$ or keep waiting for 30 series?

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games,3440x1440 high refresh 

Other details Card is a EVGA FTW3 ULTRA

PS. I am using a 970 I had as backup. Sold 1080ti before COVID in anticipation of 30 series.

Theoretically those $700 should buy you a 3080 FE, which is quite a bit faster than a 2080 Ti. So if you don't need the card right now, by all means, wait for it.

In my opinion not worth it to spend so much money on a 2080ti.

Even with the new price hike of the MSRP on the 3080 it should be in your budget when prices settle down.

Of course the down side is you would probably have to wait several months.
