Phanteks Evolve X alternatives?

Go to solution Solved by CertainFool,

If you like the case, you could always order the custom top and front panels from modmymods.

Have had the original evolve TG since 2017. Noticed the thermal issues quickly, but hesitated on buying the evolve x only a year later. Tired of ignoring thermal issues and looking for an upgrade. Still like the design of the evolve and the build quality is amazing. Before i buy the evolve x, is this 2018 case still top of the line, or is there something else i should check out?

The Evolve X is still pretty sealed off in the front and airflow will be limited, to the point that I am not sure whether that will be an upgrade to your original Evolve at all. If performance is what you are after you will need something that has some more mesh in the front. Or alternatively if you prefer a cleaner aesthetic the 011 Dynamic and MasterCase SL600M are good alternatives.

Best cases of 2020:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 - 3900x @ 4.4GHz with a Custom Loop | MBO: ASUS Crosshair VI Extreme | RAM: 4x4GB Apacer 2666MHz overclocked to 3933MHz with OCZ Reaper HPC Heatsinks | GPU: PowerColor Red Devil 6900XT | SSDs: Intel 660P 512GB SSD and Intel 660P 1TB SSD | HDD: 2x WD Black 6TB and Seagate Backup Plus 8TB External Drive | PSU: Corsair RM1000i | Case: Cooler Master C700P Black Edition | Build Log: here
