CPU only uses one core at a time

Odd CPU behaviour in an old 2009 Intel dual core. It's part of my F@H setup. I've noticed lately that work units are taking forever and, upon further investigation, it's only using on CPU core at a time. It flips from one to the other every few minutes. I checked the temps and they're around 65 C. Any ideas? Could my 2009 laptop finally be dying?

Are you letting the program control cpu affinity or do you have some other program running that’s taking over cpu affinity?

Make sure in the task manager that the F@H application has the highest priority and all core cpu affinity.

F@H controls CPU affinity and it has the highest priority.

Turn off core parking, that's what is doing it.

I'm using Linux Mint 19.1. Everything I find on core parking is on Windows. Does linux do that?
