Happy new year everyone! I have a problem with my PSU unit. It is EVGA Nex650g 80+ Gold rated. It makes barely audible electrical noises. Does it when idle and under load. Doesn't make it continuously, it is arythmic, comes and goes, i have a video, if you ignore fan noise, it will be audible. What may be the problem? Thanks in advance.

is it suffocating airflow or that's not the case at all?

Thanks :)

Yeah, make sure it is clean. I don't like that noise though. Maybe it's dust between the coils. Shut the system down and remove the power supply to clean it but "DO NOT OPEN IT"

If it doesn't go away consider contacting EVGA about that. Power supplies sometimes make a sound like that when hitting the power switch in the back but only once not all the time.

Yeah, i will try that. Maybe a little hairdryer action and the sound will blow off :)

I just noticed the sound is no more. I guess it does the noise when the system is cold?

Cleaned. It has been 2 hours since i use the pc today, no sounds are coming. But yesterday, after the cleaning, the sounds came... I inspected the capacitors via small camera, none of which are swollen. SMH
