Budget : 1 000 - 1 200 €

Country: France

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cyberpunk, Occasional Photoshop/Blender

Other details: This is gonna be my first build and it is intended to replace my older, aging PC.

I'm gonna stick to my dual screen 60 Hz 1080p setup with it, as i doubt i can really upgrade to a 1440p in this price range.

The ultimate goal for this build is to last  for at least 3 years.

Type Item Price
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ~220 €
CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U12S ~60 €

Power Supply Seasonic GX 650W 80 + Gold

~100 €

GPU GTX 1660 Super Or RTX 2060 Super

 ?*

Total ~710 €*

* Kinda hard for me to budget the GPU since all the shops are out of stock but i'm planning 400 € max for this, i'll see what i can get for this price then.

Hi,

For the motherboard, i figured out i didn't really need PCIE 4.0 so i went for a B450 and the Aorus Elite offer the features i'm looking while being the cheapest option so far. I've read somewhere that the VRAM was terrible on this one but then again i don't plan to overclock anything on my first build so all good for me so far.

The GPU is also a concern for me since there are so many brands and model, and all sort of pricing too.

This is gonna be my first build so any advice would be appreciated.

Happy new year to you all !  🥳

you can wait for the RTX 3060 Ti or 3070 if you can have some patience in GPU Stock...

Make sure to quote me if you want me to respond
Thanks :)

id get a gold corsair cpu because theyre more reliable and their customer service is amazing. get a b550 mobo instead because i dont think 400 series mobos will be supported much longer with upcoming components (to be future proof) and get a rtx 2060 super over the 1660 its better

Thx for the feedback i'll look into this PSU then !

As for the B550 chipset the think is it's not gonna support AMD next gen CPU either as the 5000 series was the last of AM4 socket so i went down to a B450 to cut the cost.

Unless there are other features you were thinking of ?

with a 3060 ti or a 3070 dont care about the brand, if its in stock? get it. cuz itll be out of stock for months again otherwise hahaha.

b550 mobos will support upcoming amd cpus. b450 mobos is another story, amd said in 2021 theyll add support for the new cpus to the 400 series aka they trynna ditch the 400 series. i dont think the next cpus will support the 400 serie mobos
