Stuck on choosing PSU, need help.

Go to solution Solved by DIV1D3,

Nah I'm going whit one card, i read that not every game support 2 way and have a friend that tried two cards and didn't like it and advised to go with one good. Okej so 650w is enough, which one is best in 125$ (800SEK) budget?

Thank you:)

Try and get a Corsair RM-650, you'd be the happiest with that.

Hi! Building a new pc and stuck on what PSU i should buy.

This is what my build is:

Chassi: Fractal R2

Mobo: Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K

GPU: ASUS R9 290 4GB OC DirectCU

Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB 1600Mhz

CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo and 3x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 2 120mm chassi fans

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO Basic 250GB

So what PSU would you recommend for me? Im planing to over clock in near future and not going to go with two graphic cards. I'm from Sweden btw

Budget on PSU is up to 125$ or 800 SEK

Thanks!

Will you thinking of getting a second R9 290 in the next six to ten months? For your PSU needs if you can around a 450w-650w. I would say that if you go any lower you will be running into trouble but make sure that it's a good quality psu with a good 80+ certification

You've got a few options, I recommend getting a Corsair RM-650, an Antec HCG-620M or a Silverstone Strider Plus 600W. The Corsair would be the best as it is Gold rated and the RM series PSUs from Corsair are really good.

Looking at the price now and the difference between 650 and 750 is 2$ in my country:D Getting this one.

Wow! How much does the RM-750 cost? I wish the RM-750 was $161 here, but instead it's $190 :(

Antec first choice for me for sure .....

and Seasonic as the second choice

Oh I see Corsair was chosen. :S

Corsair's a pretty solid choice, he did say he can get a RM-750 for only $2 more than a RM-650, so really I'd think that it'd be a no-brainer.

Thanks for the quick help everyone! much appreciated! :)

Np, hope all goes well :D

I live in Sweden, you should move here:P

I'd love to, it'd actually be the first place I'd want to go if/when I travel the world. Though I'd probably have to go to other places first just to be more cost efficient.

Well I'd rather get an RM-650, plus he's able to get a 750 for only $140!
