Also Subbed. I have been considering doing a 110 or a 130 build. I cant wait to see how this one turns out.

110 has more HDD support which is great for a mini storage server

ok so i decided to actually use the top hdd/ssd mount instead of the side because of heat but as Linus tested it wasn't that much of an issue but still... better to be safe then to have that ssd go to waste in the long run. also, i was going to go intel BUT the cost is just too much BUT... i have changed my mind on that :)

please note that this will be my actual first Intel build so any suggestion are welcome (Concept for the Motherboard) i am ASRock Fan

NEVERMIND on the Intel. too much as it's roughly $100 more to spend. just can't do it

You could always go with an i3. they are still a very nice CPUs and still more then enough for that 750ti and any game that card can run.

Not that much cheaper than an i5 though, and you get much more oomph out of a quad core for productive tasks.

I think the investment to go i5 is a good one, unless you're running a storage server or something.

this build will be for mild gaming and recording sessions mainly. course browsing and posting on forums an such. just that $100 can go towards something else. the 760k should do fine

Do you live near a Micro Center? A great i3 is only 99.99 there.

lmao dude i wish i did. i live in Alabama. the i3 is only a Dual-core though but could it provide the power to run BF4 and DayZ?

yes a bit better than the 760k but then again you can OC the 760, I have no idea to what but it's probably not worth it with that mobo and case. I would use Amd then.

I have a question:

Why would you invest in an APU if you are going to use a discrete GPU? Scratch the APU and put that money towards a good GPU or a different CPU.

a 760k isn't a APU. the 760k is a Richland 6800k just without the graphics built-in and i may go intel and not AMD if you have followed this thread more closely

also to Death i am using the SSD for OS and i will be using my 1TB HDD that has all my games and stuff on this build

are you sure i don't need that cooler. i'd just thought it'd be nice and i would like my rig to be quite too

yeah i think i'll ditch the ssd for now. the ram though i am keeping. more money for a single stick man

Finally someone gets a mini-itx 750 ti build, how is the card and what games do you play? Was it ahrd o get the 120v in there and how is the cooling (air wise) in that case

The time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted time.
