Computer Freezes/crashes WoW

Go to solution Solved by mk005,

Well first suggestion is make sure your drivers are up to date but g-force experience should take care of that.

Second when something freezes in a game like that after extended gameplay is temperatures but even in incorrectly mounted h100i should prevent freezing like that.

If it were me, I'd try running the game in windowed mode and double check the temperatures with hardware monitor while you're gaming.  If you have 2 monitors windowed mode isn't necessary.

Third would just be shots in the dark like memtest or make sure there's nothing wrong with the game it'self (should be some sort of way to verify local game cashe or something).

Sometimes its just a really weird issue with a particular game and a particular set up.

A couple of days ago I had just started playing WoW (World of Warcraft) and after about 1 to 2 hours of playing my computer freezes, I'am able to ctrl alt delete and restart my pc. I have tried opening task manager to close WoW but i can't because my cursor is still the one in WoW and it won't let me click anything. After I restart there are no error messages, no overheating, just runs as if nothing happened. Also the same day i installed an H100i so i might have done something wrong maybe but I really doubt it. The only thing is when i took off the old heat sink the cpu came off with it which I'm pretty sure is not supposed to happen. None of the pins where bent or broke so i put it back on the motherboard, cleaned off the old thermal paste and proceeded to install the H100i. So what could be the problem, it doesn't happen in any other games I play (TitanFall, Battle Field 4, Arma 3, ect) Is this just a WoW problem or have i done something completely stupid when installing the H100i.
