iPod Shuffle 5th gen has 2 Gigabytes of flash memory...but how real is this spec? Someone can tell me the real space storage?

for example my old 20G iPod video has 17G of space indeed

It really depends on how big the OS is.  I would say the OS would be about 500mb-1GB just an estimation.

usually manufacturers measure a kilobyte as 1000byte, a megabyte as 1000kb, a gig as 1000mb and so on. however, in pretty much any operating system, a kilobyte equals 1024byte, a megabyte equals 1024kb and so on. so those 2gb actually are only about 1,86GB in your OS. i'd guess the ipods OS itself is only about 100-200mb, so all in all the real storage might be about 1,7GB. And definitely less than 1,86GB.
