You should anyway.

An 80+ White for a 3070?

I thought so... But i still hoped it wouldn't be necessary, because here in Brazil low-end PSUs will usually cost around USD$ 150 (mind that the minimum wage here is USD $199 lol)

NO. 500w will be enough for 3070.

Just try it first, if you have problems then swap the PSU.

I estimate that PC total load will consume around 400w.

I really like your answer. lol As I said, a new PSU would set me back USD 150-180, and here the 3070 is going for USD 1,150 (more than 6x our min wage!!)

I know, brazil is one of the worst for electronics. Not wise spending on something you don't really need.

Or if you're unsure, sell that PSU and get something cheap like a corsair CX550, i got one myself.

Yes 3070 is one of the power hungry card, but the rest of the system especially the CPU is very efficient.

right?

I mean, I bought the 3600 because the consensus was that it was the best bang for the buck at the time, but I fell in love with it as I kept using it... It's awesome!! And that 3200Mhz ram runs so smoothly with it...

I mean... it would be best if they didn't use a literally explosive PSU with such a high power GPU.

Explosive? Have you ever explode a PSU?

Don't spread the fear. I've used an explosive VS450 for like 3-4 years.

Nothing happened.

Of course. You should give it a try sometime.

So "spreading the fear" apparently includes pointing out that a unit which has blown up in testing does exactly thus? Hmmm

Good for you. This is meaningless both in the context of this conversation, and also the greater context of PSUs.
