i am planning getting a 3600 for christmas

do i need b550

or should i get b450

and is there any itx b450 motherboards ready out of box

if no how do i install a new bios?

Why ITX, what case will you build in? 

B450 pr B550 is up to you. I'd look for what kind of features you need on the board, they will differ somewhat. B550 generally offers newer features and better memory compatibility if you want to use faster memory. That being said, B450 will be good enough as well. Both chipsets will work out of the box with your cpu if you buy them new. If you get a used board, you need to update the bios first, if it is B450.

I would just run a B550, as it has a bigger feature set and you wouldn't have to worry about updating your BiOS or anything.

i dont feel like spending 170 dollars on a itx motherboard, slightly overpriced

tbh i could get new one, but its debatable that micro center still has them for christmas, so yea imma go used, now how tf do i update the bios

becauseim not buying a older chip JUST TO DOWNLOAD A BIOS update, but i could get a 2700 for darn cheap out of box

If you bought the CPU new, AMD offers a program where they will lend you a CPU to update your bios.

Yeah, you just need to have a receipt. They run the program through their RMA department, so you need to have a proof of purchase in order to use it.

Not paper ones, but you should get an invoice. You should have gotten email confirming your purchase, that classifies as a receipt.
