What is the difference between the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A and the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27WQ1B

progamer21

One difference I can see is one is curved (1B) while the other (1A) is not. Refresh rates are slightly different, 1A is 170 Hz while 1B is 165 Hz.

The AQ version can have adaptive sync AND ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur) active at the same time. The curved WQ version can only have one or the other active at the same time. TBH I've tried ELMB on my WQ curved and it's not that great anyway. But that's obviously down to personal preference.

Both are G snyc capable down to 45hz I believe.

HDR is a gimmick on these monitors, they aren't bright enough.

I saw in the reviews that the 1B had ghosting and I do NOT want that.

do you think the AQ version is being over priced rn or not and should i save up a bit more money to get the AQ or is it not worth the money?

Also the AQ is an  IPS panel, the WQ is a VA panel. That's why the AQ is more expensive and probably the reason I didn't go for it (can't quite remember) IPS have better colour reproduction and viewing angles.

No idea what the msrp is on either, especially in dollars (in the UK) I paid a lot more for my WQ than it's listed in the US (£338.45) but that's the price you pay in the UK with VAT and all that.
