this is my cable. The male side is the one I'm worried about.

You just need to give it a good yank. The male connectors for microphone inputs typically aren't locking.

Do you mean unplug the cable? You press on the tab and pull.. unless i'm missing something there.

I don't think there's a tab there... https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/M2--motu-m2-2x2-usb-c-audio-interface

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

are you sure? I saw a latch and I'm scared I'll break it.

I can't see any tab from the pics of both the cable and interface. All of my interfaces don't lock iirc. Gently pull the cable until it comes out, it will be a bit tight if the cable is new.
