Need Help to choose!!!

Hey guys,

I'm really struggling to take a decision for a laptop. I'm a real estate broker and would like something light and thin to work and well built because I will be carrying it around a lot. I'm a gamer but I think I will not play much games on a little laptop, I would prefer to play on my gaming desktop computer. I want something that will last me at least 4-5 years a not feel too slow. I like a good screen, image quality, nothing bulky. It looks like the keyboard on the Lenovo is pretty good also. My budget would be max 2000$CAD tax in.

I'm hesitating between those two models below but I'm open to suggestions. I know the MSI is a gaming laptop, but it's not too big and it as a GPU compared to the Lenovo but like I said I much prefer gaming on a desktop with a big screen. There's a really good deal on the Lenovo also right now, instead of 4789$ it's 1615$.

Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations.

Prefer Lenovo or Dell, myself.  Only because I have had issues with MSI mobos in the past.

More vesratility is a key criterion for me.  BTW, I use Linux.  Both Lenovo and especially Dell enterprise models work well with any Linux distro.

I would also go for x1 Carbon but (and I hate to say it) apple air m1 looks very interesting and will beat X1 in performance and battery life.
