Hi, I recently got my RTX 3070 and so far the performance has been less than anticipated, with fps on COD cold war being at around 90-110fps on any graphical settings (minus ray tracing, the frames drop to around 70-80) all on 1080p

and the same on cyberpunk ( I have changed the config files to use more RAM and VRAM) and I have a constant 40-50 fps regardless of the settings, even if I enable ray tracing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, installed a fresh version of windows. Any solutions or suggestion to change about my rig ?

1. Cyberpunk runs terrible on anything but medium/high mixed settings at 1080p with that hardware (COD is a very low resource game in comparison, and has far less run-to-run variance)

2. Changing the config files doesn't actually work (See for reference: Cyberpunk Ryzen CPU Updates: Cyberpunk 2077 1.05 Benchmarks vs. Hex Edit Mod - YouTube)

3. Ray Tracing is still not possible while maintaining high frames at this time, even on current-gen RTX hardware

4. Your CPU is 2 generations old, and bottlenecking the 3070 (See 12:00 in this video for reference: Cyberpunk 2077 CPU Benchmarks: AMD vs. Intel Bottlenecks, Stutters, & Best CPUs - YouTube)

I'm gonna have to disagree with you, out f nowhere, today when i booted up i am now getting 130-150fps in cod and a constant 60 in cyberpunk

It is well within your rights to disagree. However nothing's going to change until you realize it's the truth, sorry.

60fps is not good (especially with a 3070). First-person shooters are meant to run at high refresh. Role-playing games are more meant for ~85fps with better scenery. If you're getting less than ~85fps in Cyberpunk, then I'm sorry, but it's either something with your settings, or your build is all wrong.
