Hi with the new cpus coming out i desided to make the move from Intel to amd, i do not have much expiriance with pc building but i have dabeled in it with friends and have build one before with help.i have never had any expiriance with AMD cpus before, in the proces of moving i looked around for a suitable motherboard and found out that an X570 motherboard would function fine with a Amd Ryzen 9 5950 cpu. However i did not look far for information only what i thought i needed to know. This came to bite me in the back when i found out that i would have to update my Bios for my motherboard unfortunatly i order a ASUS Tuff Gaming x570s plus wifi motherboard which does not seem to support any type of BIOS flash without a cpu instaled. So my question is what do i do now, i have looked around but the only option i have come up with is to buy a older Ryzen 5 cpu in order to update BIOS.  But i would like to avoid spending any more money and want to check all my options before resorting to this i am in the proces of checking with the suplier if something can be done. However i would like to ask all of you if there is any posable way to update this bios without an older cpu, or if not what is the chipest cpu i would need to buy i have looked and found one for 150 pounds. Unfortunatly my other option would have been to find a technician that could help me however where i live in the uk i have found nun. I know i sound like a noob but i am just frustrated becuase i thought this would be an ease upgrade however it is not i just want a working pc that could be used for 3D work and editing but i am stuck with a 5950 cpu as an ornament and it is partly my fult. Ps sorry if this is posted in wrong forum section.

I got the new ram today and pluged it in nothing happened still was stuck on Dram light i have contacted the seller for help see what the problem is but they don't open lines untill monday and with lockdown been a think in my area it's hard to say if they will be of help. So my best option is to look online i asumme.

Man I can't tell what you're writing.

Assuming you have everything installed correctly, try a Zen 2 CPU so you can flash your BIOS. If you need to buy on and return it, do it.

in short i bought the new ryzen 9 5950 cpu, purchased The Asus Tuff gaming x570 plus wifi motherboard but as a new AMD user who is changing from Intel i had no idea that a bios update will be needed so now i can't update the bios due to the motherboard not having a Bios flash option with a working cpu. So now i'm just seening if anyone has an ideas that i have not thought of or found out myself.

Turns out the 3000G doesn't work with X570. You'd need a Zen 2 processor. You can go to a store and ask them to update your board. Or buy a CPU, update your board, then return the CPU.

Return the mobo and get one that's preflashed or that can be flashed without cpu.
