NEW PC BUILD

Hello,

 

I'm buying a new pc but I don't know which motherboard, case and power supply to choose.

 

These are the parts that I picked for my pc.

 

Ryzen 5 5600x

RTX 3070 

16gb 3600mhz DDR4 Ram

1tb M.2 SSD

For the case, first decide how big you want the computer to be. My recommendations would be: 

• ITX: Nr200 (if you can find it)
• ATX: Meshify C. 

There are other good cases, but these are my favoirte. 

 

For the Power Supply, look at the form PSU tier list and pick a decent 750W + unit. I would recommend Corsair

 

For the motherboard, B550 is all you need. I would go with MSI or Gigabyte because they are decent quality and provided good customer service.

For the case, make sure it has adequate airflow, Phanteks p400 mesh is really good, as well las Lian Li Lancool Mesh or Lian Li 215 Mesh. PSU Corsair makes solid PSUs, like Sorenson said above. RM750 should be more than enough for you. Motherboard depends on the form factor you choose, as well as if you have any other requirements.

I like the Phanteks p400a, I think it comes with 3 stock fans. Do I need to add any extra fans? And I saw people on YouTube using 650watt psu for ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 3070. Do I really need 750watt if yes why ?

NVIDIA recommends a 650 W PSU, so that should be fine. 750 W isn't needed for this configuration, just make sure you choose a good psu from the psu tier list in this forum. I would add one exhaust fan to the p400a digital RGB, and two fans to the non rgb version. Be Quiet makes great quiet fans that you could use for the non RGB case, and for RGB I think phanteks has its own RGB fans on their website.
