Windows 10 virtualization on Linux for gaming?

Hi everyone!

It’s my first time posting here. Sorry for my english since it’s not my native language. 
I’m planning to build a PC since Ryzen 7 2700’s are relatively cheaper now. Im planning to choose that cpu for the high number of cores since i plan on installing Linux as my main OS for university works. I also play a lot of games so i was thinking of just using a virtual machine for running windows just to play some games. My usual go to game is rainbow six siege. I chose the ryzen 7 2700 since im on a tight budget and i have a 1060 6gb in my old build. I just wanted to ask here if someone already tried this approach and share their own experiences.

Hi! I’ve edited my post since I accidentally pressed enter lmao. My go to game everyday would be rainbow six siege.

R6S has very mixed results imo a dual boot is better

Thank you for the feedback! I see you are an avid fan of linux. I’m just a noob and it was just required for us to use linux in my university. So far I’m loving it! I’m using Ubuntu, do you have any linux distro suggestions? I’d like to try them!

manjaro is my daily driver i suggest you give it a try

Manjaro is arch linux based right so does that mean a big difference in terminal codes when using the terminal?
