Also AMD is better now, so if oyu have to change the motherboard better to switch to AMD:

I have the Asus 2390 Prime-P and the EVGA 650 watt bronze BQ

I would switch but right now intel cpu's still perform well, and the prices are good too.

Masterliquid v2

120mm or 240mm?

not the best cooler but should handle 10600k or 10400f just fine.

also if you have a bigger budget switch to ryzen.

also what res you play on?

any intel that would be good as well?

Intel is still ok for value, but their expensive motherboard make it worse for value. Since you already have a motherboard, it wouldn't be too much of a loss

what games you want to improve.

9400f is still decent for msot games at 1080p. Gpu upgrade would be better

Am I the only one that thinks there is no better CPU to pair with a GTX 1660 Super? Like, surely it isn't bottlenecking the games, it would be smarter to get a better GPU so even if there is a CPU bottleneck in frames you can set higher graphics

Do you have 60+ hz monitor, what games and what settings are you trying to achieve and what do you want to do with a better CPU

i have a 60hrtz monitor, and steady frames not dipping below 60. I would like to run high settings without maxing out my cpu.

higher settins= less laod on the cpu more on the gpu. so if you use high settings the cpu should not be maxed out.
