With the 3070 being so popular and hard to get what do you guys think is the best way to attempt to get one?

there is nothing you can do. the scalpers have bots that buy everything instantly. you as a human have almost no chance. 

DO NOT pay money to scalpers. that will only encourage them which will make them do it even more.

I got my 3070 from Newegg through a combination of sheer luck and this Twitter bot. There isn't really any method to the madness, just try to have all your payment/shipping information saved beforehand, and jump on it the second you get the notification.

I wanted one and I bought it on aftermarket for 670 few weeks ago. Now in my country I can find it, same place for about 660. I was ready to pay 50-100 more than msrp anyways because I don't live in USA
