Is BlueStacks safe?

Is BlueStacks and noxplayer safe? I have been wondering how I run android apps on my Mac and I came across these two but I have heard that they (in particular noxplayer) may be unsafe. Are these claims valid?

Never heard of noxplayer. I used to use bluestacks all the time and never had issues with it. It's changed a lot since when I used to use it. That's not to say it isn't safe anymore. The UI has just changed a lot, as with pretty much any software over time.

Both are fine and I've used both. Nox has support for more versions of android than bluestacks, but other than that on average bluestacks works slightly better performance wise

I was thinking about using Nox because you can root the emulator easily. Can you do that with bluestacks?

Bluestax is popular amongst some mobile gaming youtubes I follow. Trying it myself, I find it somewhat unstable, but don't know if that's something about my system. I also find performance a bit meh compared to an iPad (I know that's not android, but games are on both).

That I do not know. You will probably have to google it, never used any root features
