TP Link Archer T6E vs TX50E

Ryaou
Go to solution Solved by PorkishPig,

These cards have entirely different capabilities. The T6E supports up to 802.11ac, the TX50E supports both Bluetooth 5.0 and 802.11ax. Unless you're on a very tight budget, going with a TX50E will bring more features and allow you to use WiFi 6 if you choose to purchase a compatible router in the future.

I need a new wifi card and the only ones available (at my budget) at a nearby store is the TP Link Archer T6E v2 (AC1300) and TX50E (AX3000) both available at the same price.

So my first thoughts were to get the TX50E because newer model but I got recommended the T6E so I'm now unsure.

Also my ISP (and wifi-router) doesn't really provide top speed so I don't think any speed difference matters too much here.

I'm not sure if it's relevant here but PC specs (Motherboard: MSI B150 Mortar, CPU: Intel 6500), just in case there's something about wifi card and chipset I don't know about.

Thanks.

Weirdly both of the options are being sold at the same price at the store I go to, so definitely go for the TX50E for the sake of potential future options.
