I have a custom built with a custom loop. Loop leaked and killed my 1080ti because I didnt have a backplate on my card. Mainbord and everything else are fine it seems. CPU does not have IGPU. Go to install new card (purchased second hand from a guy i have bought from before) fits fine. I can not get this computer to post. Did i just get another dead 1080ti? or is there another issue that i am missing here? Anything info helps. I just spent $500 on this new card to get my system up and running again.

Water and computers don't mix, it's possible you killed your mobo.

No corrosion or signs of water ever made it to the mainboard. there was like 4 drops on my gpu pcb that went unattended, corroded, and killed it.

Well, only one way to really know then, go pick up something cheap GFX-card wise and try that. Even beg/borrow/steal/etc one from a local computer shop, event an ancient GT 710 will suit you just fine, all you need to know is if the mobo is good.

I assume you've tried to put the new GFX card into a different PCIe slot?

Known good GPU has been tested in the PCIE slot and it posts.

Ok, that's a good thing. That means the other GFX card you bought isn't any good. Have you tried that suspect card in a different PCIe slot?

Give that a swing, sans the known good GFX card, it possible it doesn't like the slot. I've seen this issue before on systems where hardware was damaged.

BAD PCIE power was the culprit. after ultrasonic cleaning the original card, i tried with a diff psu and it worked.
