Which headphone ?

Hey guys . 

I am looking to buy a headphone within $130 , I listen music mostly , don't game much and I also love bass headphones . Any recommendations ? 

I've been eyeing on the Audio-Technica ATH-PRO500MK2 , Audio-Technica ATH-WS55X and the Skullcandy Crusher . 

 

 

Sennheiser HD 449 or Sennheiser HD 558 ?

Audio Technica ATH-M50X? Great sound, great build quality, reasonably comfortable!! I have them, and I think they're great. They have a wonderful balance of highs, mid's and lows and a decent amount of bass. They are low impedance too, and sound great on anything. I use them with an external sound card, though.

Are you going to be using them while on the go or at a desk? DT-990 Pro 250 ohm get my vote.

$130 can get you SRH440's. Which are pretty solid. Anything but the Pro500's and Skullcrushers, the WS55's aren't that bad, but like most AT products these days over priced.

Lol gross, they are stupendously overpriced and more so out of this mans budget.

HD439 is cheaper and has a sooner drop off. So I don't know what you are going on about

There is very simple bass mod you can do by taking some tape off the back of the driver. I toke the tape of one of the three holes and they are now very nice lower end response.

In my opinion the HD558's are better in every way (Higher quality, power, sound range) but they are open back so sound will be "leak" out of them so using them in public is not ideal while the 449's are closed back so no-one will hear what you're listening to except you.

It was actually really really easy. It took me 10 minutes to do both drivers.

I would go Senn HD558 or DT990; but the 990s are a bit out of price range and may require an amp.

Those look pretty good too. I have never heard of them so I can't really give any info on them but they seem pretty good

Spec wise they are right between the HD449's and the HD558's in sound range and power so they are great in that area
